The Disappearing Tasmanian Devil.

The Tasmanian Devil is a animal that looks like a dog but has round pink ears, a very bushy tail and a white stripe across it's chest. It's also has a long snout, black fur and whiskers like a cat. Tasmanian Devils were only native to Tasmania but now they are found in zoos around Australia and maybe in other countries. Tasmanian Devils are almost extinct because a long time back people heard them fighting each other and thought they were devils ( that's why they have the name Tasmanian devil) so people shot them. They are also dying out because they have often killed each other over females, food and good feeding spots. In the wide Tasmanian Devils are only expected to live for 5 years. To preserve the Tasmanian Devils people shouldn't shoot them for fun or destroy there habitat (bushland). There are at least 2500 devils left in the world and the numbers are decreasing every year. Tasmanian Devils are so important that there is a Disney character based around them.
